REPOWR Named to the 2027 FreightTech100

REPOWR has been named to FreightWaves' 2027 FreightTech100, the annual list recognizing 100 companies driving innovation across freight and supply chain technology. REPOWR's Trailer Optimization Platform (TOP) is listed alongside established carriers, brokers, and technology providers, a group that this year includes J.B. Hunt, C.H. Robinson, Samsara, project44, and Uber Freight, among others.

What Is the FreightTech100?

The FreightTech100 is an annual list published by FreightWaves that recognizes 100 companies for innovation across freight and supply chain technology. It spans transportation management and visibility, fleet and telematics, artificial intelligence, automation, and autonomous trucking, and includes everything from large, established transportation companies to early-stage startups.

The list functions as the first stage of FreightWaves' broader FreightTech Awards process. It's not an endpoint on its own, it's the pool from which a smaller, more selective list, the FreightTech25, gets chosen.

The History of the FreightTech Awards

The 2027 FreightTech100 marks the eighth year of the FreightTech Awards. Since its start, the list has tracked how fast the freight technology landscape turns over: this year, more than half of the companies named to the 2027 FreightTech100 were not on the 2026 list, and FreightWaves reported a record number of nominations for the 2027 cycle.

The list is meant to reflect where innovation is happening in a given year, not to lock in a static set of incumbents. Categories that barely existed a few cycles ago, like autonomous trucking and AI-driven automation, now make up a meaningful share of the companies included.

How Is the FreightTech100 Determined?

FreightWaves' Research team reviews every submitted nomination and evaluates companies against three criteria:

1. Documented innovation - what the company has built, not just what it claims
2. Market impact - evidence that the technology is being adopted and used
3. Year-over-year evolution - how the company's product and ideas have developed since the previous list

Once the 100 companies are selected, the process moves to its second stage: an independent panel of more than 80 industry executives ranks the full FreightTech100 to determine the FreightTech25 - the 25 companies judged to have the greatest impact on the industry. The voting is independently overseen by the accounting firm Henderson, Hutcherson & McCullough, and the FreightTech25 rankings are announced live at FreightWaves' F3 Awards Dinner.

What Happens Next

For 2027, FreightWaves is recognizing the FreightTech100 in person for the first time, at the F3 Awards Dinner on October 26, 2026, in Chattanooga, the same city REPOWR calls home. The dinner will reveal both the FreightTech25 and the 2027 Shipper of Choice Awards, and runs the night before FreightWaves' F3: Future of Freight Festival.

Every company named to the FreightTech100, REPOWR included, receives an official winner badge to display across its site, email, and social channels, a small marker of a list built on documented results rather than self-reported claims.
