A customer of KCH requested three trailers for a trade show. Because the trade show lasted over a month, the customer would use the trailers for shuttle runs as well as storage to last the show’s duration.
Solution
Taylor Coxwell, Sr. Manager of Operations at KCH Transportation (Augusta), had recently seen a demo of REPOWR’s marketplace.
“When I reached out to REPOWR and explained the scope of work,” said Coxwell, “they were able to consult their network and make a recommendation that drastically cut the price-per-day down per trailer and allowed the customer to save a good bit of money on this 45-day project.”
Results & Learnings
Not only did the customer save money by reserving trailers through REPOWR, KCH learned that the best carrier for the job may not have the extra trailers on hand for all of the business they could secure. Trailers often get tied up at receivers or require maintenance. When it was said and done, KCH could do more for their customers and support carriers by using REPOWR equipment.
When one of KCH’s customers reached out for carrier and trailer capacity for 70 full truckloads, they immediately contacted REPOWR.
Solution
The same day the request was made, REPOWR was able to source all 70 trailers near their shipper’s headquarters. Because it was a special project, REPOWR went above and beyond to work with suppliers to secure additional trailers – in addition to what was listed on the platform.
Results & Learnings
KCH had the 70 power units available to pick up to deliver to the customer’s surrounding areas. Once the deliveries were made, the trailers were returned to the supplier’s network so they could be reutilized.
